Open House Days 2026 for schools at IOCB Prague

Registration introduction image

Here you can register your school group for an excursion to the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry Czech Academy of Sciences.

School groups are welcome to come visit our laboratories on Friday, 6th of November 2026, from 9 am to 12 pm.

Scientific programs with annotations can be downloaded ahead of time HERE.

Excursions are intended for students ages 13 and older (8th grade of elementary school and 3rd grade of 8-year high schools). For practical reasons, a maximum of 13 persons (including a teacher) may participate in each presentation. If you are planning to come with a larger group of students, please divide them into several smaller groups and book a separate program for each group. The groups can see the same sessions in different time eg.

Please, consider the number of programs you sign up for. The sessions follow one after the other and since there is usually no possibility to sit, you should not book more than 3 presentations in a row. You can schedule your break between sessions and spend this time in our changing room  or the park in front of the building.

What to do for a proper reservation:

  • In the registration form below, choose the sessions you want to see and the specific time for each one (you are making your own unique program for your students);
  • Please, do not reserve multiple sessions for the same time, they should follow one after the other (you may schedule a break between presentations);
  • Once the reservation is done, it cannot be cancelled, you have to contact Ms. Schropferova (see contact info below).

Should you have any questions about the program, please, contact Mr. Oldrich Hudecek phone +420 220 183 586 or mobile +420 771 228 712.

For questions about registering website (including deleting reservations), please, contact Ms. Tereza Schropferova phone +420 220 183 379.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
